First Coat Fitting

I’ve finally managed to get the sleeves basted in, although I think in need more practice distributing the fullness.

Below are photos of my first fitting. The following are the alterations I think I need to make:

  1. In the pictures I’ve overlapped the front edge 3 inches. I assume this means I need to reduce the waist by 1.5 inches. Can I take this all from the front edge, or should I take some of it away from the side panel?

  2. The jacket could be lengthened by 1/4 inch to reach my first thumb knuckle

  3. The sleeves could be lengthened 3/8 inch to reach my wrist bone

  4. Reduce the shoulder width by 3/8 inch

  5. There is a wrinkle on the right hand side of the back. Is this due to my shoulder slope being steeper than the pattern? How do I measure how much to adjust the shoulder? Also think the left hand side shoulder slope might need an adjustment.

  6. There are lots of wrinkles on the back of the sleeves. Is this to do with the pitch of the sleeve?

Are there any other issues that stand out?
