Pattern Drafting

Hi All

I am working through the Pattern Drafting (Metric Version) I have going through all the coat drafts and noticed that on some drafts Point 21 is on the CFL and on some Pt 21 is on the Front Edge and I cant work out why there is a difference

21 on CFL

1. Traditional Savile Row Cut  (21-1 Half Chest plus 13cm)

2. Regular 10cm Drop  (21-1 Half Chest plus 13.5cm)

3. Regular two piece Front Draft (21-1 Half Chest plus 13cm)

4. Slim Fit Short Style with Side Body  (21-1 Half Chest plus 10.5cm)

21 on Front Edge

1. Regular /Athletic 15cm Drop Draft (21-1 Half Chest plus 13cm)

2. 3 Button Slim Fit short style  (21-1 Half Chest plus 10cm)

3. DB style ( though not on the front edge cos DB but still 2.0cm from CFL)

All suggestions would be appreciated

Also on the same subject on CT.07 Double Breasted Style the book draft has Point 21 (and 30 and 31) on the front edge seemingly about 2cm from the CFL. All measurements are taken from the old front edge not the CFL. However , the video talks about omitting the Front Edge and all measurements are taken from the CFL for the new front edge.

I presume the video is right and the book is wrong. Can someone confirm this please
