My 1st pair of trousers are done.

My trousers are completed however I see some issues that need to be addressed before I make a 2nd attempt.

  1. Despite lowering the back rise by 3/4 inch the buckling at the knees was not corrected.

  2. It appears that there is too much cloth at the front crotch.

Jeroen - I did take your advice and took in 1/2 inch at the sides.

Asher - I wonder if the buckling at the knees is caused by the fork depth.

I think if I were to lower the fork depth by 1 inch, this could eliminate the knee problem.

I'm not sure where to go with the excess cloth at the front crotch.

Any suggestions and advice would be very helpful. Thankfully I have another length of this cloth to make a 2nd pair trousers.

Thank you all for your comments.

Thank you Gerry,

This makes all very good sense. I've got more work to do.

I may try and scoop out at the CBS and see if it helps pull up all the vertical excess cloth at the back.

Tailoring is hard...
