I am wondering if anyone knows of a good instructional video on how to hold a needle and use the thimble. I have seen an older very short video that Rory made in New York, it was very quick and from one angle only. As someone who is a novice and has not seen anyone hand sew properly in person it would be great to find a video that shows close up how to hold a needle and use the thimble from different camera angles and discuss the technique. when I am holding a needle with my index finger and thumb I find it hard to get my middle finger behind the needle while keeping the needle at an angle that I can sew the stitch. If anyone out there has any tips or can point me toward a good learning resource I would appreciate it.
