Today, I have finished another waistcoat. This time I used a five colour checked fabric from Reid&Taylor. I replaced the darts so that they run parallel with the stripes/checks downwards the waist. I reduced the outtake of the darts to exactly the width of the check and added the rest to the side seams. For the buttonholes I twisted a two colour gimpe and embroidered with silver-grey silk buttonhole twist. I am very happy with the outcome.
