Helpful collar diagram
Just found this in an 1847 book - very clear image of how you draft for a velvet, fur or sash collar. Thought it might be helpful.
Crease pattern at lapel break, draw around onto main body of front. Place together at shoulder, pin wheel through onto pattern paper, seem fabric/fur pieces centre back so the nap descends downward each side.
