I've completed this linen suit and maybe I am over anylizing this but shoulde the should width be narrowered?
Do the armholes curve a little too much? See highlighted photo.
Should the chest size be reduced?
Any of your thoughts or comments are appreciated.
I too think it looks great. Good for you. On some of my coats I made the shoulder points wider. I love the effect it creates.
It looks fantastic, well done! Personally, I'd leave the shoulder width. If the seam rides more on the shoulder it can pull on the sleeve, creating tightness. And as mentioned, it affects the overall balance (might draw attention to your hips, making them look wider than they are).
I often find that after completing projects, all I can see are errors and minor nigles. However (unless I've really messed up), those doubts all but disapear over time.
Some men have narrow shoulders. Some tailors make the shoulders of the coat broader to give the appearance that the man has broader shoulders.
