Congratulations on completing your first bespoke Ladies Jacket! It’s impressive how much you learned despite the difficulty of the course. Adding unique touches like back patches UK style could make your next one even more personal and creative. Huge thanks to Rory for the guidance and inspiration!
I know the amount of work that goes into one, so sticking with the course must have been difficult at times.
I can't tell you the number of garments I started and never finished during my apprenticeship, because it either wasn't turning out how I wanted or lost interest.
During Covid, I pulled out a few garments I had tucked away. One I started in 2010, a cotton cashmere from Holland and sherry remnants cloth.
It's cut just like Henry Poole, as I was there at the time I started.
It's not my style anymore and I have been considering giving it away to a family friend, but I am having trouble parting with it.
Best thing for you to do now is to get on with the next one and continue to hone your skills.
