Hello everyone!
Made a pair of pleated trousers for my wife. I was hoping to get some advice. It seems that the pleats are bending or bowing towards the middle. More so with the right pleat. I didn't notice it during the first fitting and it may already have been occurring then. But the alterations I applied after the fitting were: 1) take in waist and seat 2) shorten back rise.
Did I take in seat too much or is the pleat depth just not deep enough? How would I remedy this?
Right pleat opens up more than the left:
Not noticeable in this picture than it is in person:

Not to mention: the cloth hast only been laying around and I am sure, the cloth will "work" over the next weeks or even longer.
Goed gedaan, mooi stukje werk!

One old tailor said when you fold the pleat over into place put a little bit of slack on the top layer. What may be happening, the top layer looks short and is pulling back, therefore, pulling it open.
Those are a beautiful pair of trousers. I wouldn't do a thing but love them and wear them.
