Hey everyone,
I study fashion design in Berlin and I realize more and more that I really dont like the way the fashion industry works. On the opposite I got used to tailoring in my studies more and more and it feels kinda right for me.
Next semester will be the practical semester, when we have to do an internship for at least 3 months.
My teacher in university who was a tailor recommended me that he would fly to London and go to Savile Row, to ask the tailors personally if it is possible to do an internship there..
Is it very hard to get an internship there? I already have experience, made a womens suit, a half canvas suit etc. Can sew trousers, jackets, coats etc. from scratch..
Do you know some good adresses? Or maybe any tips?
I think the worst point is finding a flat....
Regards
Paul
In Berlin you have Kathrin Emmer Herrenschneiderin in Potsdam or The Coatress and Herrenschneider Amman, one of the finest houses in the city.......
Good luck!!!!
Hey Rory,
That would be amazing!
Got time from 1st of april until 30th of september. If everything goes well, I would quit my studies and stay for a longer time.
Regards
Paul
Hi Paul,
Let me know what dates you wish to go to Savile Row and I will see if I can get you an internship.
Regards,
Rory
