Rory: Thank you for showing us the lay and cut of the Overcoat. I appreciate you are working a 10oz cloth for this example. Would you mind to also discuss during the construction how to handle heavier cloths at key points? I think this is one of the challenges in heavier winter overcoats. I'm sure there are a few techniques that might be specific to different weights of cloth that we could appreciate learning from you. I'll be working with a heavy melton for a Peacoat for example. I know I will struggle with all the seams, the thickness of the fabric and the turn of cloth at key points; for example-- to keep the corners of the collar and lapel evenly shaped at both sides and have a consistently even thickness. I did note the shortening of 0.5" for the front balance for longer & heavier coats you mentioned in the recent video. Many thanks as always.
