My first 2 coats in the "Hand Crafted Way"

PLEASE NOTE - HISTORICAL PATTERNS so the sleeves are not as “clean” as modern coats.

The pale grey/blue is a 1910 2 button cutaway lounge coat in a pin head Donegal tweed with matching flat cap. The dark grey is a 1890 - 1900 4 button lounge “sac” with center action back pleat and ticket pocket in a heavy melton type fabric. Both have fold back cuffs - I prefer these as they add weight to the sleeve making them drape better and you can fold down on a cold day to keep your hands warm.

I will be making waist coat and high wasted fish tail trousers to match the dark grey coat.

The trousers and waist cost - which badly distort when uploaded LOL - I am wearing are also made by me.

All patterns from the J P Thornton “sectional drafting techniques”

OH thank you very much. I was especially happy with the way the dark one came out.
