Hi, this follows from my previous post. Not sure if front shoulder angle is the right term, but what I'm talking about is moving the neck point on the forepart up and down, to draw the coat up.
I was wondering if this should be done until the buttoning is basically irrelevant to the fit, or a bit of hanging away is desirable? Either by convention or for comfort.
I've lowered the neck point about an inch and a half so far. It doesn't look completely straight yet, so wondered if I should go a bit further.
Thanks!
I think a little bit of swinging isn't too bad. You could probably make it up as it is and it would be fine. I guess that the objective is to get it to hang so that the button almost isn't required. If you've lowered the NP by so much already, I'm inclined to wonder if you made a mistake with the draft? It's not the end of the world, it just seems like a lot.
